All life started in a primordial soup and were bacteria and different cells of sorts and they all were asexual. How did some of these evolve to use sexual reproduction?

Not sure why you would ask an atheist this question. It would be good to ask a biologist instead.
Wikipedia has a good introduction.

Here are some answers to a similar question. Excerpted from one of the more comprehensive answers:
On a really basic level, some simple organisms which reproduced by cell division or self-cloning developed a habit of exchanging some genetic material amongst themselves, at first by simply opening up and letting it seep in or out. The benefits of this simple exchange were so great (the Wikipedia article on the subject is mostly a list of these benefits) that those organisms that could do it soon prospered.
And though The Green Porno Series hosted by the Sundance channel does not focus on how sexual evolution started, it does clearly describe in an hilariously entertaining manner, the amazing diversity of sexual reproduction. Sexual reproduction, it works!

We don’t know for sure how sexual reproduction first emerged, there are competing theories about it. As with most scientific questions, wikipedia has a good summary of the state of our knowledge on the subject: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution_of_sexual_reproduction
