It is not known exactly how life came into being. However, scientists working in the field of abiogenesis do have several theories.
They will labor long and hard, using science to find the answer, just like they did with identifying natural selection as the driver behind common descent.
For the impatient ones that want an easy answer though it has no predicting or explanatory potency, goddidit will suffice. Others will eagerly follow this promising field of study and its developments, waiting for solid evidence that will support a scientific theory that can provide explanation and predictions which will lead to new discoveries and improvements for humanity, just like the scientific theory and fact of evolution has done.
