I can imagine evidence that might convince me that a paranormal, malevolent intelligence existed (e.g. a pattern of clearly unnatural catastrophes), but identifying that intelligence with “The Devil” of myth seems pretty much impossible. How would I know it wasn’t Loki or Apep?

None. Because the supernatural is, by its very nature, beyond the reach of reliable evidence. The supernatural can supposedly only be reached by hearsay, by miracles, by revelation, none of which can be objectively or reliably demonstrated, leaving us open to the influence of delusion, and fraud.

No evidence really, just if I suffered from complete amnesia and was unable to recall there is not one shred of evidence supporting the existence of the devil or any other supernatural being or the supernatural plane itself, then believing in the devil if someone insisted it existed would be a toddle in the park.

The same thing that would convince me God exists. Have him give me his power for ten minutes.
